Switzerland is a rich third world country. The US is basically the definition what first world is supposed to mean and as we all can tell "first world" never said anything about riches, stability or even sanity.

It's not "starting to hurt" America lost any trust that was left after the last orange man debacle a few years ago, within just a few weeks. There is no coming back. America is very deep in the shit when the majority of the world doesn't want to play with them anymore.

I suspect Trump would be present-day Caesar if he could. But he doesn't seem like a skilled enough political operator to actually realize that ambition. So articles like this still seem kind of overblown.
