The Great Barefoot Running Hysteria of 2010

In my past career as a fertilizer company agronomist I worked with Lanny Faleide closely. I started doing infrared crop photography by renting a plane back in 1982. That didn't prove scalable and when Lanny started SatShots I saw it as a superior alternative.
Between my second and third startups Lanny actually tried to hire me. I was interested in the work but couldn't ultimately come to terms with working in North Dakota ;<). If it had been in Silicon Valley I'd probably have retired there. Fun fact we met to discuss the job on Sept 11, 2001. I think it took him four or five days to find a car to rent so that he could get back home.
