I find it bizarre that this author wrote so much about information warfare, talking about China and corporate censorship, and a piece in propublica about algorithmic bias...

But never brings up the fact that a billionaire bought one of the largest social media platforms in the US and then used it plus at least another $250 million in donations to SuperPACs to influence the US election.

Or that two advertising giants have sucked up all of the advertising money online such that there now are almost no independent journalists left in US media.

It's as if the piece is written about modern China and the US of 15 years ago.

Those things aren't information warfare. They should be discussed separately.
