Never liked Alan Kay. My brother worked with him a little bit and the anecdotes from him about Kay built up my impression of him. I've watched numerous talks of his and I've never enjoyed one of them - they don't even stick in my mind. He was there a Parc and I think it is mostly right-place-right-time syndrome. Stick another smart person in the same situation and they would've succeeded as well. He's also super pompous and arrogant and surprisingly inarticulate.
